Problems help please

ok i took my lady to her house from her job (she left her keys in her car) and then we came back to her job, about 2 miles driving, i stop my aurora next to her car, it was in the park shift and we were waiting for like 10 minutes for her car to warm up and i heard something pop i thought somebody hit the car or a rock, but next thing i know soke was coming out of the hood so i turned it off and open the hood, and the whole engine was full of anti-freeze they told me it was the water pump it hasn't been check byproffesinals but that's what some guy in pepboys told me now they want $300 for everything repair what do you guys think the problem is??

Coolant hose? Refill the resevoir with water and clean the engine. Run the engine and see if you can find one of the hoses leaking. Its a free check.

I put anti-freeze and ran it til my house but it was leaking a lot and and i mean it when i say a lot, but whyen is idle or parked there's no leaking. Also the engine gets really hot, the gauge got almost till the red zone in less than 5 minutes running the car.
