2.2 to 4.3

hey everyone im new to the site. i just bought a 96 s-10 extended cab and it has the 2.2 5 speed, i want to put in a 4.3. but dont know if the transmissions are the same and if theyre not then which tranny do i need for the 4.3 . i know its just as cost effective to do a 350 but the old lady isnt thrilled about the gas mileage and if anyone knows where i can get the engine and tranny combo please let me know. thanks guys for all the imput.

Well u could always turbo ur 2.2L S-10 and it would have the same HP as the 4.3.
