just got a 240

well not me but my friend just go a 91 240sx, its a auto. what she was wondering what is the hp on here motor, i believe its the ka24de, sorry if that wrong i am a honda guy so my knowledge of nissans isnt that great. yeah i know its a newbie question but i dont wanna go looking back into 40 pages, so plz help

also do you know what kind of times she is looking at in the quarter ?

is this a s13, s14 or not even a s at all ?

where kind i find a cheap intake for her car, like ebay kind cheap cause i searched on ebay for 91 240sx and i didnt see any intakes on there.

how much would it cost to do a sr20 swap into her car ?

s14=95-98

anything ebay cheap isnt gonna be very useful. if its not crap you get, it might just be a cardboard cutout of an intake.

all depends on the kind of sr20 she wants.

s13 = 207 hp @ around $2500

s14= 217-220 hp @ around $3-4000

s15=247-250 hp @ around $4-5500

forgot to mention, since she has an automatic, prepare for hell on the installation bill. i have an automatic also and its gonna run me up to 2-3k.

why so high for the auto, do they have to convert to a 5speed or something ?

and thats 2-3k plus the 3k for the motor plus $$ for installtion ?

how much would a shop quote for the the s13 sr20, into my friends auto 240 ?

well the auto 240's are slow as hell. it does 0-60 in about 10 seconds. even though it has 155hp and 160ft lb of torque. which is wha honda's aren't known for having. lolz but tell your friend to learn to drive stick (if she doesn't know) its alot better. this car is all about balance. its awesome every other way except for straightline speed. and the brakes could be alittle better. but besides that. no complains.

ya automatic = very slow

and yes, they have to convert the auto to a 5 speed if you swap in an sr20det. the sr20det comes with a 5 speed transmission.
