Which MSd box do i need to upgrade my ignition? THe 6a or the 6al? whats the difference???

This is what I found on msdignition.com :

"The 6AL delivers everything the 6A does with the addition of a built-in Soft Touch Rev Control. This feature allows you to set an rpm limit to protect the engine from over-rev damage caused by driveline failure or missed shifts. Other MSD RPM Controls can be connected to the 6AL such as a Three Step Module Selector (PN 8737) or RPM Activated Switch (PN 8950). The 6AL also comes supplied with rubber shock mounts and 3,000, 6,000, 7,000 and 8,000 rpm modules."

You might also want to check out the MSD SCI ignition if you want to go with MSD (which i believe is the best) it is made for the sport compact cars in specific. They have the base MSD SCI, which is also offered with an optional rev control and there is the MSD SCI digital. These are sold frequently on ebay for about 160-170.

I have the MSD SCI-L box w/soft touch rev control-and it's workin out great for me....that rev limiter has saved my ass a bunch of times! :monkeypis grinding transmissions!
