Re: 90' na auto swap to tt manaul
pretty easy swap. you need the tranny, shifter, different driveshaft or the half shaft of the 5-speed driveshaft as long as you also have a 2seater, slave cylinder and master cylinder along with clutch pedal, hydraulic lines from master to slave, clutch assembly including pressure plate, and flywheel.
beings you will be using a TT transmission you will need a TT flywheel for the starter to reach the gear ring of the flywheel. the TT flywheel is also heavier and bigger so i do not know how much this will effect the performance of your N/A motor. may notice a slight drag but the 5-speed may offset the problem. shouldnt be noticeable reguardless. there are also a few tricks with wiring to get the reverse lights and the speedometer to read correctly. good luck. its really not that bad of a swap.

Re: 90' na auto swap to tt manaul
yeah sry i am just trying to finger out the problems that i might run into before i jump into the swap. im buying a 93 tt manaul for 1,500. it has upgraded ecu, greddy exh, one peice driveshaft, shiftkit, and some stillen ground control something. do u think this is a good deal? its comming with everything on the car, it even still runs. but the back end is wrecked. can i just strip the tt and just replace everything on my car for the most part? plan on up grading all the brake lines, and prob clutch lines. i called around to a few shops and one told me for 3,500 to 5000 they would do the tt and manual swap. for that price i would rather do it my self, lol. they were also telling me that u have to pull the wiring harnest out of the cassie, or something like that. anyideas? thanks
