dual exhaust

i have a 97 suburban that i want to put dual exhaust on, i want it to have nice tone and i want to be able to actually hear it but not so loud that it annoys the neighbors. i think i want to go with full dual not a catback system, ive heard catback doesnt have as good of sound or flow as true dual, is that true? i was also wondering if it actually improves mileage and how much it costs to have it done. i could do it myself but if its not terribly expensive i would rather let a muffler shop or something do it.

magnaflow mufflers would be the ticket here.

depending on where you live you may not be able to run true dual exhaust.

personally i would look for one of the "cat-back" systems that has all the parts and mufflers as a package. Talk to your muffler shop or look around on the internet.... magnaflow, flowmaster and others. I like magnaflow because they sound good under load / rpm, but are not extreme!
