new to cav's...need some info

hey guys..i'm looking to buy a 95 Z24. The one i'm looking at is a great deal but needs a bit of tlc. He lived in the boons and doesn't know if it can pass smog, the brakes need replacing, driver window doesn't go down, and a few more small problems. I was just wondering if there is anything in perticular i should look for with these cars, like if they have any common problems or anythign like that..thanks for the help.

I would never ever buy another cavalier ever again.... Maybe its just mine, but Ive had nothing but problems... 3 altinators, 3 starters, head gasket, countless coil packs, a few ICM's and the computer (plus lots of other stuff that i dont want to think about right now)... Ive spent more on repairing this car than I paid for it. Its a 95... my suggestion... dont buy a lunchbox with problems.... get a newer one or something else.
