Air bag disconect

Iam replacing my stock stering wheel to an after market
can I have some help on how to disconect my air bag tank much.

Ok, just wanted to make sure.

Disconnect negative battery cable. Leave it for 30 minutes, to make sure all power is out of the system. Also as an added precaution, you could remove the carpet sides of the center console and disconnect the SRS computer.

Once that is done, on the back of the steering wheel there are 4 screws to remove and then the center nut. Then you can just yank hte steering wheel off. Keep in mind, you may need a steering wheel puller tool (which you can rent from most autoparts stores). Some people don't report needing it, some do need it. Either way, be ready to yank ALOT. Once you get it loose, watch for the clockspring and wires, you have to carefully remove this if you ever plan on converting back to the original wheel.

Lastly, keep in mind your insurance may deny your claim if you ever get into an accident and they don't know you have no airbag. And you may fail inspection if you remove your airbag. Lastly, most dealerships wont take your car if you try to trade it in, with no airbag. So make sure you really wanna do this. Also for pure safety reasons, if you are removing your airbag, I hope you have a decent harness at the bare minimum.
