Gear Indicator Adjustment

For some reason my gear shift indicator is off by two spaces. When it says I'm in neutal I'm actually in park. Is there an easy way to slide it back to where it belongs?

I had a similar problem which the dealer diagnosed as worm bushing in the steering column ~ cost to repair $200.00
