FMIC pics after Install!!!!

My new Grill!!!!!

The hot side!!

Squeezing in on by the radiator and power steering junk!!

Coming off the intake manifold!!

Moved the tranny cooler lines up to run the pipe to the IC!!!
I was nervous about that, didnt know if I was going to be able to make it work but we did!!

The finished product!!

It took us about 7 hours from start to finish. It was fun and man was my body hurting after. I got the intercooler kit from extremeintercoolers.com. It's their street kit and I didnt need to cut the bumper support, it fit perfectly with some tweaking of the some lines. The car runs smoother now but I didn't raise boost yet. Probably will get to that next week. Since you guys love pics, here's a couple more random interior pics!

Niiice... that IC looks similar to mine... do the pipes come out of the end of the endtanks or the back of the IC?

I don't really like SAFC's, but I like how you have yours mounted.

Re: FMIC pics after Install!!!!

Yes, I like-ah da pichers.

The install looks very clean, good job. How big is the core? I love that metal deal on the guages! Where'd you get it? I also like the AFC install, good job.

Re: FMIC pics after Install!!!!

Glad you guys like. The core is 25x7x3 Bar and Plate. The pipes come out the back of the intercooler. I got the brush aluminum dash piece from e bay, they also have them in chrome and carbon fiber. Think is was like 15 bucks. Yea, I'm not a huge fan of the afc's mounted on that little stand they come with so I went with that piece. Maybe on Thurs I'll snap a few pics of my " custum black pleather" on the door panels.

Re: FMIC pics after Install!!!!

I was wondering what kind and size fan you guys think I should put in there to keep my a.c.?? Will I jus have to splice into the oem plug/wires??

And here's the pics of the "pleather" door panels I had my girl wrapp for me.
I threw in a couple more random pics I had also!!!

This is what the door panels looked like before. They had this ugly ass carpet over it!

So bought some fake leather at a craft store and had my girl wrapp it.

Slotted rotors with the oem up-graded dual piston calipers

Re: FMIC pics after Install!!!!

Good job. That FMIC looks great, and +1 on the interior.

PS, did you hit something to make your lic plate look all bent, or is it because you drive so fast?

Re: FMIC pics after Install!!!!

Door panels arent hard to wrap its just patience. The really hard thing about it though is if you do lettering or a design. My grandpa and me are trying to figure that out the right way its pretty fun.

haha Thanks. That heavy metal bracket that holds the license plate was annoying. I never really liked how they mountned the license plates on 1g's. It just kind of sticks up in the air. With the fmic, it wouldve blocked some air flow too. I was going to put in the corner like on the right side of the intercooler but I plan to but some decent fog lights there. I screwed it right into the bumper. Its covering some bad scuffs anyways from the previous owner too. I bent it so its flush with the bumper. Kind of tacky I guess but the cars going to get a new bumper and all new paint after college so I dont care that much.

Yea wrapping that door panel is very easy. When I put it on there, it looked so much better than the previous ugly carpet that was on there.
