anyone on here have one? im checking into a 05 quad cab in black. its not exactly close by but it does have the factory warranty yet and only 4,000 miles on the clock. i havent been able to confirm yet but do quad cabs have traction control? just how BAD are they in bad weather? thanks!

A Ram SRT10 is a truck.

I'd wait until springtime. Or buy one now at a fair price and put it away until it's nice outside.

And don't make decisions based on anything you read here.

i know its a truck im saying if it has to be parked in inclimate weather it wont really suite me well because i dont want to have a daily driver and a backup daily driver. i have my nice weather car already and a bike i just dont want something else i have to park in the garage all winter. i was hoping with the posi traction or traction control whatever the quad cab has that the regular cab doesnt that it might help somewhat. im thinking maybe in snow if i load the bed full of some weight, and put on studded tires for the days that it snow (then swap off of course) think ill be ok then? and id make the decison based on what ive heard from owners if they told me it is awful in bad weather because then i cant use it (of course i cant go to a dealor in a snowstorm and say hey lemme see how this works in the snow) so i have to trust what others say about their experiences.

Re: Ram SRT10

If you plan on driving the SRT10 in the snow do us all a favor and dont buy one. Seriously, its a PERFORMANCE truck for a reason. You want something you can drive in snow get a hemi.

Re: Ram SRT10

or a 2500 with a Cummins 5.9

you get some tuning on a 5.9 you'll blow an SRT10 away.

i dont want it so i can purposely drive around in snow. i wanted to know if it would be a death trap if i got stuck in snow, this truck would be my daily driver, snow happens around here sometimes.

What he said. If it "snows sometimes" then you are planning on driving in the snow with it.
