A/C Noise
The a/c clutch on my car is making noise like a bearing going out. If I spray it with water it momentarily relieves the noise. Can I replace the clutch only, or do I have to replace the whole unit? This vehicle is a '97. Do I need to buy a new clutch or do you think it's safe to ebay a whole assembly then remove the clutch? Is the clutch easily removed without loss of freon while still on car? Do I have to have a special tool to remove the clutch?
A lot of questions so any help would be appreciated. |

Yes you can change clutch and bearing with lose of gas. But you will need a couple of removal and install tools. Which some parts places like auto zone will rent or loan.
