Unhappy ABS/Trac Off

Hey Guys! Ok here's another problem. Two days ago while on the way to work, I hit a huge pot hole (Miami). My ABS and Trac light immediately came on. I seriously hope that something only came loose. Please any possible answers are accepted.

Re: ABS/Trac Off

Most likely a bad hub which contains the wheel sensor. Also, check the electrical connectors to each wheel sensor and make sure they are tight and inspect the wiring harness to each sensor and look for cuts or fraying.

Re: ABS/Trac Off

My connection on the passenger side was completely broken in half. The hub wire is fine but the wire running from the car the connecting end was broken. Any estimates on repair?

Re: ABS/Trac Off

There is a service bulletin on that issue that suggests replacing the entire harness rather than splicing a new connector in there (GM service bulletin# 03-05-28-008). The harnesses are GM dealer only and are as follows.

driver side: 10340317 (dealer retail $43.28)
pass side: 10340315 (dealer retail $41.05)

Re: ABS/Trac Off

It really seems like this is a very common problem amongst us loyal GP owners.

Re: ABS/Trac Off

Could the bad connection cause the SES light to come on?
