Dash lights won't work

I have a 96 4x4 V6 and I am having some wierd electrical issues with it. The dash lights will not work. I replaced the dimmer switch (broke the old one) and for some reason the dash lights will not come on. I check the new dimmer switch and it checks out okay. Fuses, etc look good

Also, when you step on the brake, the right turn signal lights up. I traced the wiring and could not find anything. Fuses, etc look pretty good. Any ideas?

Get a multimeter and a wire diagram, and dig in. Are the bulbs good? Is there voltage coming in to the lights? Is there ground? Answer those questions and you will find the problem.
