Re: 1996 Mustang GT throttle body Spacer install.
do you mean the intake spacer? ive never heard of someone making throttle body spacers. if it is a t/b spacer its just four screws around the outside then the wire coming from the side farthest from you clips into the bottom area to open the butterfly

Re: 1996 Mustang GT throttle body Spacer install.
It is a spacer that fits between the t/b and the intake. I purchased it off of ebay about a year ago. After I tried to install it I found that the gaskets were labeled for a Ford F150. I did some more checking around on the net and found a pic. for the one I need. The spacer seems to be the same but the extenders for the throttle cables are different.I do not know if I can purchase just the cable extenders. Thanks for taking the time to try to help me.If you know of a site I can order just the extenders please help. Thank you again.

Re: 1996 Mustang GT throttle body Spacer install.
I just installed a turbonator but I had to trim it down so small for it to fit that I think it is restricting my air flow. Car idles rough and knocks bad. I will check here before I waste any more money on CHEAP upgrades. Thanks for the help.

Re: 1996 Mustang GT throttle body Spacer install.
No, I have 2 gaskets, spacer, and 3or4 cable extenders. But the cable extenders are what will not fit. What are CAIs before I buy that?

Re: 1996 Mustang GT throttle body Spacer install.
CAI is cold air intake.

Why is CAI a waste of money?

Re: 1996 Mustang GT throttle body Spacer install.
CAI's are worth very little if you plan not to build the engine. It will add power if you do some upgrades, but not much. They are better for T/C applications.

intake spacers, as seen here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/96-04...spagenameZWDVW has been proven to add a few ponies, throttle body spacers on the other hand ive never heard of. if you want to add some power without wasting your money try some of these: steeda underdrive pullies steeda timing adjustor c&l (or other brands, accufab, etc) throttle body & plenum package exhaust goodies(off road midpipe if possible) a CAI is more for looks than horsepower as the stock setup is not restrictive and there is little to be gained 1 or 2 hp isnt even going to be noticeable. however, if you were running a supercharger or something else of the sort to make huge hp, the hp numbers of course increase in parallel
