This sounds as if the timing belt jumped I would check that or have it checked.

check to make sure you have oil. you might have a vaccum leak somewhere. also i get the same thing sometimes when after its raining and there water in my intake, so has it been raining recently ?

well is it really cold where you live, because maybe not rain but any type of condensation that would form in the inake would make the car run like that.
like your car uses a vaccum for some things, and especially in older cars, the hoses crack and leak. Lots are guys are driving around with vaccum leaks and they dont even know it. vaccum leaks usually means lost of power, which would make your car idle funny. but it could be the timing belt so make sure you inspect it good, its kinda hard to see it if i just jumped one notch, so inspect good |
