Weight
Anyone actually weighed their cars? I'm not talking about the stripped down ultra-racer cars but the normal DD's.
I read on VFAQ that the stock weight of a 1g is 3100 or so. I can't seem to believe that considering a stock weight of a convertable Cobra is 3300. It seems far fetched that the weight is so close. I have seen many a video of 1g's tearing other cars a new ass with minimal mods. I would like to know if anyone has weighed their car.

When mine was at the emissions place running on the 'dyno' they weigh the car too. It was 3200 lbs IIRC. WAYYYYYYY to heavy. That's why my car sucks in a rolling race.

that seem off. On the door of my car it says that the gross weight is 4087lbs. I went and did the the inspection people said 3600. Then i read on this forum some time ago that the 2g weighs 50 lbs more than the 1g so. I'm going to just go witht the 3600 its somewhere in the middle of the other two.

3100 lbs thats great to bad im not completely stock anymore. Well what can you do.. so im going to say mine is problay 3300 with the other things that have been done to my car. Maybe 3450 with me in the car but still thats not to bad considering the leather seat and my small 10 sub in the trunk.

I weighed my car once and it came to 3145. Leather seats + some mods and bigger rims.

These cars are heavier than I thought, I was figuring somewhere closer to 2800-2900 lbs without driver. Anybody know the numbers for the N/T?

There is a big scale around here somewhere that you can drive up on it and it will tell you what your car weighs...my dad was telling me about it and he drove his Mini Cooper out there...so I may just have to make a trip to see what it says...

That was a good find. I am going to take mine to the recylcing center when it gets rolling. I have always heard that 1g AWD's are between 3100-3300 so I sorta assumed 3200. My goal has always been to get the car down to below 3000. Well, that wont be hard at all. What you think guys, think I can hit 2700?

I don't see why our cars are so heavy in the first place.
Seriously, our four cylinder cars weight as much as a v8 mustang. What gives? I mean I think our cars are pretty tiny, I wonder why they weigh so much.

I think because of all the AWD components. I know Subarus are at about the same weight too.

mitsubishi has FAT asses... but it is hard to belive a 4 cylinder little car weighs as much as the mustang GT...
