95 SL2 sometimes wont start

posting this for a friend, sometimes the car will just click, a shake of the car and it will start fine, ckd the battery connection, they look good, also he has to hold the pedal down all the way ever time he starts it, any ideas, thanks

checked the batterys condition? how about the resistance on the electrical cables?

Had cold starting problems with my 95 SL2. Replaced the coolant temp sensor and it started right up this morning in -10 weather.
