A weekend of Stupidity... and Racing.

Well, over this last weekend Terminal Veloctiy, DMC 12 and I went up north to an undesclosed location. TV went to see his girl, DMC 12 and I went to fix the DeLorean.

After a bit of delays the DeLorean was up and running, just in time for the Saturday Night Races! YAY! We cruised the 80's Mobile around looking for the street races. We happened to find a few staging areas, people thought the DeLorean was god car with its green paint splattered on it. A few people asked to run, but since the car hasnt been driven much in the last few months or even years. We declined, parts for the DeLorean are expensive... thats the #1 reason. But they were all cool about it. At the Races with DMC12 we saw what looked like a 95 Ford Probe GT with a Turbo with a massive BOV, and a few Civics with Turbos. It was cool, untill some fool in a 87 Corvette rolled up and started to do donuts. He got chewed out for making too much noise.

After some more cruising around in the DeLorean we decided to head back to the Barn due to a Radiator leak. Oh well, it was fun cruising in something so 80's.

Terminal Velocity showed up and him and I went out to find more races in the Tbird while DMC12 went to bed. At first we didnt get much luck, but we found a 99 Chevy 1500 that seemed to want to race... So we did haha TV pulled him for a bit then he let off while the guy just flew by us and kept going... so we gave chase through these extremely dark back roads at well past the century mark on the speedo. Finally we backed off cause #1 Tbird has minimal rear breaks #2 its too dark to see the road any #3 we didnt know the roads haha so we just were like 'yay.. that was fun... ' so we headed back, some 20 minutes passed and we found a 68 Mustang Fastback with a 289 with a 3spd Auto, who we caught up to and we did a rolling start from about 30mph. TV pulled for a sec, but the Fastback started to pull him as we approached higher speeds, the Fastback called it when he was just 1/4 car length away. Oh well we didnt get a chance to hit our higher rpm range, but we gave him a Thumbs up anywho.

After the mustang incident we were tired and decided to go back to DMC12s place. Whilst in route we saw a Z28 who wanted to pull left into our lane, but unfortunately we had to turn left down the next street. As we pulled into the left lane the 'Z28' went past and i noticed only 1 exhaust pipe. Im thinking... V6! So we chased him down... but apparently he thought we were the Police. (a Dark colored Ford Sedan with two people in it, and being it night time doesnt help). So he went for it, and shot onto the freeway then off then next on ramp which is a decreasing radius turn and is really tight, then through this stop sign, then down this back road where we lost sight of him around a corner, we think he ducted down into a parking lot and cut his lights. It was the funniest thing i've ever seen... we just wanted to run with the guy a bit... but i guess he got spooked and ran like a SOB. Hahahaha. We could of kept up with him, but the Tbird isnt the best handler on the roads and as i've said before minimal rear brakes. So when you hit the brakes hard the ass end gets light and wants to step out. haha, oh well no biggie. It was fun none the less!

The next day, we got video of the Tbird and DeLorean racing... and other Random acts. So in the near future you'll be able to see the Bird and Time machine in action... even it looks like its in slow motion.. kidding.

Sorry for the lenghty post.

No prob. It was definitely worth it that Saturday night!!!
Most memorable moments:

Us: What you got in that thing (Civic hatch)?
Him: Turbo kit, NOS... you know.
(two minutes go by)
Him: Just playin' man its stock.

Trans Am driver: What do you dump it (DMC) at?
Me: I don't dump it! This thing gets such good traction that dumping it would stall the engine. Its impossible to spin these meats.
(Then we hop in and leave the parking lot letting out the biggest burn out/ fish tail you've seen)

that was soo funny. you looked like you not only seen a ghost after that.. but that you ran over his whole damn family. i've never seen anybody get so excited about going sideways... which by the way suprised the hell out of me cause even i believed in your talk about how its got too much traction. hahaha.

well, they raced twice, once from a rolling start... DMC12 pulled a bit... but TV slowly walked away.

I think DMC12 needs about 20 more HP and he can easily stay with or at least pull slowly on TV. It was fairly close indeed, very fun too.

In the Video, DMC12 takes TV... mainly because TV got a bad launch... you'll most likely see all this in the Video... whenever DMC12 can find the time to upload it.

But i gotta say, the DeLorean for all of its mighty 150hp, is quicker than some might expect.

Delorean = 130hp

Just thought I'd add that it is in fact even wussier than you make it out to be. Still a fun car though.

That is still not a lot of HP, you'd think there'd be more hp coming from a v6. At least there's some descent torque though, it's a nice change from the zero torque I have in my CRX.

hahaha, it was a random as hell weekend indeed!

(af finally lets me on after 3 days! )

Well, I got in 2 other races with my girl this weekend, random as hell AND lame, wastes of gas but funny!

A plymouth voyager, no need to launch to beat it, but damn, the guy was lovin it more than anything. ....Bet his mom wasnt though when he gets home.

A 240sx..with a giant fart can...nothing else...it couldnt have had anything else. Well, he did worse than the voyager. Nuff said

And with the delorian

Dumping the clutch at 4 grand, and me not launching at all cuz I was told we were just sposto look cool....hahah, right

It looks damn cool though in themovie

We also made some random as hell video too, me and Redneck (especally me) are acting dumb and silly! Its damn weird!

And 94svt5.0, I do DEFENTALLY need those 3.73's

The delorian has 3.85's (if i'm not mistaken which I probally am) for a final drive ratio

I pulled on DMC12 after we hit about 70 I started, passed at 80, before that he pulled on me. Granted I was runnin hot, it still shouldnt have mattered.

And with the V6 camaro, when we were goin off the freeway at around 100...hahaha, only front brakes were scarry, I didnt feel like we were stopin, and the speed wasnt goin down alll that fast....IT WAS AWESOME!
