'88 Corolla stalling
1988 Corolla 55,000 miles, good condition and well maintained.
Recently started stalling, oftentimes when turning corners. Mechanic said that due to the age of the car the seals and gaskets in the carburetor are becoming damaged due to the additives in today’s gas. Said I would need a new carb. He is conservative, is there any additive or anything else I could try? The car starts up again OK after it stalls. Thank you, Don |

Re: '88 Corolla stalling
Check the fuel pump to make sure it is supplying the proper amount of fuel.
Check for vacuum leaks. Is the gas tank full or empty when it is stalling? |
