01 Sub EVAC cracked
Hi, Need a little help. The "Service Engine" lite came on in my 01 Sub. Took it to the dealer and they say a tube on the EVAC canister is cracked. The only way to fix it is to replace the whole canister and they want almost $500 to do it. Was wondering if its something I can replace myself, and can anyone tell me where it is ( I assume its in the engine compartment somewhere) and what it looks like?
Thanks in advance for the help.  Ok- I think I found it- I was way off. Is it the black capsule/container on the back of the gas tank? Can someone please confirm? Last edited by wishbone1; 01-06-2007 at 01:20 PM.

The EVAP caniste is in front of the gas tank, large square box with lines going to it
