'40 Ford Resto

Whew! It's finally done. I spent a little longer then I had planned on this, went through a lot of low ambition periods but thanks to all the compliments and encouragement from fellow members I saw it to the finish. Many little flaws, lots of paint chips and final fitment problems but I'm happy with the results. The whole fun adventure can be seen here.
Please enjoy

This is what I started with. I have always liked it, have no idea who built it but I wanted to breathe new life into it.

Thanks for looking gang,
Les

Les, great to see that you did it after some hesitation.

When I see, what you made of this green model, I must say, it was worth every minute you spent on this project. Those murals are outstanding !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: '40 Ford Resto

That is just friggin awesome, and the WIP was one of the more entertaining ones I've ever followed. The final clearcoat turned out great. It's a shame you're about a week late for AFMOTY, but this'll be a definite runner for '07!

That has to be the result of one of the coolest progress threads ever seen on AF! The skill and craftsmanship that has gone into this build is remarkable!! If I had on a hat, I'd take it off to you (I just never wear hats!)
