d16y8 into 95 civic wiring questions

hi all, im new here and i have a few questions i hope you guys can help me with.

heres the scenario: i have a 1995 civic cx hatchback (fully functional and running), and i just recieved a d16y8 complete crate motor (WITH engine harness and obd2 ecu), i want to do the y8 swap but keep the car obd1.

my questions are:
-as far as electricals go, the only thing i need to do is swap over my obd1 dizzy and wire the injectors to the stock obd1 harness. right? nothing else? (please fill me in on all the small details too like alternator etc)
-will all of the vaccuum hoses line up right?
-again, can someone please clarify to me what exactly needs to be done to run the obd2 d16y8 into an obd1 civic (electrical and mechanical)

thanks, hope i was clear in my questions and description of scenario!

Re: d16y8 into 95 civic wiring questions

Use your existing harness, rewire the plug on the distributor (obd1 harness has 2 plugs, the OBD2 has 1), swap voltage regulators in the alternator (OBD1 voltage regulator into the OBD2 alternator), use your stock injectors (or the OBD2 injectors are wired opposite the OBD1, yellow wires don't match together), an OBD1 ecu (P28) or an OBD1 to OBD2 conversion harness to use the OBD2 one, and wire up the O2 sensor (most CX's have a 1-wire and you need a 4-wire).

-for the injectors, what do you mean the yellows dont match up? i waas looking at both my the obd1 and 2 wires and it seems both are yellow/yellow yellow/blue yellow/red and yellow/orange.. am i missing something?

-for the o2 sensor, how will i wire up the other 3 wires?

sorry for asking so much, but thanks for the info so far

Re: d16y8 into 95 civic wiring questions

The injectors do have the same color wires, but they're wired in reverse. So you'll wire the solid yellow wires to the other color wires, not to the other solid yellow wires (except for the one injector that has 2 yellow wires). It'll be Yellow wired to Yellow (for that 1), Yellow wired to Blue, Yellow wired to Red, and Yellow wired to Orange. I know it seems like the wires should match exactly to the same wire colors, but for some reason Honda wired them in reverse...found that out the hard way when a friend and I couldn't get a car started.

Here's info on the O2 sensor: http://www.hybridautomotive.com/tech/o2/#one
