Re: srt 4 vs subaru impreza sti

thats like comparing a porshe turbo to a hummer h1. which is better? they are both the best you can get for your money...but completely different.

how much do you plan on spending? there is a $15,000 difference in price of the car, thats nearly 2x the price of the srt4. if you can afford it, the subaru is a better bet, but if you cant swing the extra cash, than the srt4 is the way to go.

Re: srt 4 vs subaru impreza sti

for the same price as a new srt4 (or mildly used one) you can get a c5 corvette...and your insurance will probably be close to teh same. you can find a c5 for right around $20,000

Re: srt 4 vs subaru impreza sti

He's right, it's like comparing oranges and apples. Price is the real factor here. If you want to go fast in a straight line then the skittle is for you but if you like an all around car and have the money for it then the sti is you for.

They are great little cars for the money. Not the best...but not the worst.

The srt4 is a great car for the money. Deciding which one is the best to get is a really opinionated; obviouly we will tell you the srt. Please keep your posts about this topic down to a minimum.

Do you know anything about this car?
I advise you do some research rather then just taking our words.

Specs on the SRT-4 can be found by doing a normal search on Google.
03-05 were the years there are slightly different hp ratings thru the years as well as other little bits of goodies. Some say 04 was the best year they made the car I beg to differ saying 05 was best and of course black was the fastest. . As far as my opinion goes for SRT vs STI everyone here is right apples and oranges. What are you interested in? Pure straight line speed? Ease of modification? Cost? Looks? AWD? Factor your thoughts on those things in and you will come to your decision. Each car has its wealth to offer but it depends on what your looking for. I myself after owning an SRT-4 will not knock the car I loved it....Will I buy another...No..I'd upgrade to an EVO or STI big boys toys AWD turbos you cant beat that feeling when launching them or taking them screaming around a turn.

Honestly after drving both I can say they are a pleasure to drive in there own way. Most of the time it comes down to how fat your wallet is.

Re: srt 4 vs subaru impreza sti

with the money you would spend on the STI, you can make the SRT a better buy. The SRT is an awesome car and with the money you would of spent on the STI you can make 400WHP easily. AWD > FWD but are you really ready to spend 15K+ more just for AWD? you can make pretty good WHP with the skittle for half the cash IMO...

50 TRIM FTW...

Re: srt 4 vs subaru impreza sti

the sti is much more than awd, the suspension is far superior than the srt, if it wasnt there wouldnt b a 15g difference in price wen they were new.
the srt is a great buy, 250hp(by the new standards) fwd, and cheaper insurance than a 2dr sports car(trust me i would know).
the sti, if u have the money is great, it's a toy, u can beat that thing over and over and not have many problems.
if ur into modifying, awd is always a bonus, but the fwd isnt bad either. and the srt is now even cheaper being that their used.
but like everyone said it's black and white

Re: srt 4 vs subaru impreza sti

yea but for the money you save in buying the SRT-4 you could upgrade the suspension easily...
