Prototype Engine.....

I own a 93 prelude S, I bough it cuz it was cheat and in really good condition. Some little rich girl owned it, daddy bought it for her when she was in high school and is now doen with collage and wants a new car so sold it for 2000. But my question is what is the best engine to put into her. I looked around, and the numbers dont tell me anything. So far the best thing i've come up with is a NSX engine I think.

I want the best 1/4 mile engine there is. $ really isnt too much of an issuse.

Any suggestions?

LOL, that car should have a H22a in it already, and that is one of the best engines to have; in my opinion. Stephen Papadakis ((Pro Driver) drives a Civic that is an 8 second or better Civic, and he has an H22 in it.. As far as the NSX engine, if I'm not mistaken it is RWD and you would need some serios money to do the conversion.. If it has an H22 stay with it and build it up, if not get one, and build it up....

Stick with the engine you already have, and work from there. The NSX is a mid-engine car, as you probably know. To even get that beast to fit into a Prelude, you would need some major bodywork, but it would be well worth it. To have a mid-engine Prelude.... mmmm...

If money really isn't an option, opt for an H22A because the stock S model is not VTEC... Just a 2.2 liter engine.

Or if you want to go forced induction, I'd go with an H23A1.

You could always spend all of your money on your existing engine, punch it out, new pistons, forced, ect..

Basically, there isn't a limit of what you can and can't do if money isn't an option. Can I ask what you do for a living?
