help 96 bonneville
i noticed this screaching and grinding noise on the right side front of my car when i hit 40 mph or higher and when i drop below 40 the noise goes away could anyone please help me with this problem i was told it might be wheel bearings but would like some more imput

Welcome to AF!!
There are a couple of possible causes. One of the causes is a wheel bearing going bad. But a far more common cause is a worn out brake pad. The wear sensor on the pad will contact the rotor and make the noise you are speaking of. I would pull the wheel and check the brakes first before I went to the expense of changing a wheel bearing. |
