Turbo 357w

Well I got my motor back from the machine shop today. The block isnt cracked afterall. So I talked to Brian at B&G Custom Turbo Fabrications and ordered my turbo kit.
Black ceramic coat
Tial 44mm wastegate
Tial 50mm bov
3.5" downpipe
825hp air/air intercooler
and for the turbo, I opted for the PT76GTSP with the .96 a/r housing.

Yes thats a P on the end there, as in ported, dont be jealous Tony!

Who knows, maybe I'll see just how much a stock 351w block can take. Some say I may end up pushing near 700rwhp/tq with this turbo if I run the same 14psi I ran with the blower. But I ordered the wg with the .8bar spring so it should only be about 12psi.

Time to install the roll cage & minitubs. Now I gotta cut the rearend down, weld 9" ends on, coil-over the rear, maybe tuck a set of 325/50/15 Mickeys under there and keep the 3.55 gear. I want to keep this motor under about 6200-6300 rpms and with the power I'll more than likely be making the 3.55's and 26" tires just wont cut it. I'll be posting pics again as this build takes place, and I'm gonna try my best to get a vid up once its running. Hell everyone likes a good burnout!

Re: Turbo 357w

Well there was no price difference between the GTS and GTSP so I decided I liked the sound of a little extra power for free. Who knows, this car may end up being too much for me .

I'm thinking I'll just set the BTM to 0, lock timing at 25*, run 12(ish) lbs of boost, and see where that puts me. I hope to get away with 67/82-84 jets in the CSU carb. But with the pump gas I want to keep my WOT afr's around 11.8 I think. Sound like a good start-up tune Tony? Welcome back by the way noticed you havent posted in a few days.

Re: Turbo 357w

I want vids and pictures. Vids include idle, burnout, high way acceleration, acceleration from a stop and from 30 mph and also WOT till the speed limiter kicks in/ or the car falls apart.

Very nice,idea though.
