Re: Is this a good audio setup

how would you get a duel four ohm amp down to one ohm stable for a one ohm mono block amp. i know i will have to hook in up in paralell and not series but the hook ups on this dam audiobahn is wierd. it has two positives and two negetives for each voice coil. so its like a got 4 positives and 4 negetives.

Re: Is this a good audio setup

you need to get a mono amp that has 2 sets of outputs hook up each voice coil to the amp and yes you will have to crame (sp) 2 wires under the screws

Re: Is this a good audio setup

and if i do that then it will push out one ohm and have the full 1200 watts that the amp is supposed to push out. and answer this why is audiobahn such a crappy sub and amps i think that it hits clean and crisp and hard too for the money especially i got the flame series sub the 2200 1100 rms for 50 bucks and i put it in a really nice vented box and it sounds awsome. and if you recomended a sub and amp what would it be. thank you for your input

I like Kicker subs/amps, the 05 L7s dropped down to $99 if you like a square sub, damn awesome!

Re: Is this a good audio setup

Kicker whore, just messing with you man.

Well think about it like this you spent $50 on a sub thats "supposed" to handle 1100 watts. Also when you get companies like audiobahn and such there quality gets real shitty due to the sole fact they want to make the largest amount of one sub for the cheapest price, so sacrfice quality to make more money. From what it sounds like you havent heard a wide variety of systems, audiobahns have 2 purposes. To sound like crap, and to make people want to buy them cause there shiny and they have flames.

Believe me if you even here something of slightly higher quality like and infinity perfect over an a-bomb, its a big difference, put one of the high end audiophile subs against them its like night and day.

As for the amp hifonics amps are ten times cheaper and outperform and a-bomb amp.

Don't ever look at cars as just imports or domestics. Just because a car is made in a certain country doesn't mean that it is anything like another car from that country. An example of this is Mitsubishi reliability, just because they are Japanese doesn't mean that they are as reliable as a Honda or Toyota.

yea he is pretty bad, when i first came on here all i wanted was kicker this, and kicker that. and telling every one to get kicker.

any way 1 more reason why audiobahn is bad is also because they rate there amps at 17 to 18 volts. and the cars running that high usally are competetion (sp) ones which can and do buy better amps.

now for a recommend set-up do you want 2 subs or one. and what is a price limit.

Re: Is this a good audio setup

Thats a bigger problem for SPL guys since you cant have the engine running while your competing, so you need some serious battery power, and regulators to get that voltage.

that depends on which organization and what class in that org you compete in.

-The new Kicker Whore-Hah, the only reason I tell people to get Kicker is because of the quality of the stuff they make, you get what you pay for!

Re: Is this a good audio setup

no, the only two companys that i belive you get what you pay for as fair as expense stuff goes are jl audio and focal, but i am sure there are more i'm not really into the non mainstream companys that much right now because of prices.

and do you want spl (high db, loud) or sql (sounds good and can get pretty loud)
