97 Olds Achieva
You are always a BIG help-here's one for anyone. My 97 olds Achieva floor boards on the drivers side (front & back) are getting soaked with water standing in them. Even without rain (must be getting in by going in puddles)-any ideas of how this water is geting in? No rust or holes in the under carriage that we can see. We have made sure that it is really water-but from where?
Talk about strange!

Re: 97 Olds Achieva
Check your HVAC drain. As if this is plugged it can leak into the cabin area.
ALso you may have a heater core leak... Does it appear to be just water or is it sweet smelling like coolant?

Re: 97 Olds Achieva
The water is only on the drivers side, and it doesn't have a smell or taste. I'm "pretty" sure it is just water

Re: 97 Olds Achieva
Well if the door seals are good then I'd say it was coming in from the firewall area.
Around the back of the strut towers, under the hood, where it meets the firewall is a place where leaks occure. Pretty sure its a rubber sealant they used and it breaks down over the years and allows water to enter. Good Hunting!
