1996 Sable - Ignition switch Hard to turn to full off & hard to remove key

I've had this car a couple of weeks, its getting harder and hardeer to get key out of ignition. Sometimes its hard to get the switch to full off and sometimes it seems that the key is stuck in.

I've tried wiggling steering wheel and shift selector, nothing works consistently

Turing key between off and run several times seems as good as anything else

Any suggestions?

Don
