Choosing appropriate amplifier wiring kit (Newb needs help)
Hi,
Ive been bumping around for last couple of months on some no-name cheap wiring kit I got on ebay. It was so bad that with my 300w mono sub, the fuse and the fuse container (by the battery) melted completely, so now I dont even have a security fuse on the POS wire. Since Im putting together a more power system with specs below, I need a good wiring kit to power it. Im not sure about that guage I need or brand I should look for. It would also be great if sum1 could recommend an on-line audio store with good prices to buy this from. (From what I know, local retailers have prices too high) It will be a dual 12" sub system, 900W PEAK (300W RMS each sub) The amp is like 300W RMS TO EACH channel. Basically Im looking to push 600W total RMS power (both channels combined). THe amp has if im not mistaken 2 45a fuses on it. What brand, type wire kit is my best choice? Also, when they list Watts in wiring kit specifications, are they talking about peak power or RMS? Thank you everybody for support and help. Ive learned a alot from few of my recent posts. I really appreciate it.

4 guage wire, this is what i bought
http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-IE-4-GA-GUAG...QQcmdZViewItem but any 4 guage some should be fine. brands to look for are : rockford fosgate, kicker, streetwire, stringer, tsumi )sp). and maybe even scosche and monster since you are only running 600 rms i didn't bother putting up the top top quality ones that are mad expensive |

Here is a nicer one:
http://knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=eKo-K4 Do you need the whole kit, or just power, ground, fuse, and fuse holder?

Re: Choosing appropriate amplifier wiring kit (Newb needs help)
i was being lazy and put 2 instead of to 0 gauge. and i want to upgrade mine to 0 because i am probelly going to have 3 amps in my car before i finish my system. so at least with 0 guage i only need to run one power wire.
