no results

hello, its been a while since i last posted something, busy. i posted a thread about reverse lights not working in my '95 neon. put new neutral safety switch in worked for a while. now they quit working again im thinking it could be the adjustments on the gear shifter because that is the second trans that has been put in and guessing that when they put the new trans in they messed up the position of the gear shifter or didnt adjust them period. the lights dont flicker, turn on in different gears or anything. checked all wiring, sockets, fuses all fine. im trying to get them working because i live in pennsylvania and inspections are strict so without reverse lights it wont pass and i'll end up taking a sledge to the entire thing. im sorry if i offend anyone but i would like to sell it. i would appreciate any help if possible thankx!!!

The park nuetral safety switch is different than the reverse switch. If your problem was cable adjustment then you should be able to get them to flicker by moving it from gear to gear.My guess would be the switch itself.Just take it out and use a multimeter to test it.There is a spring loaded ball in the end of it that you can push in on.You should be able to check it in resistance.Push the ball in with the probes attached and the resistance should change if not then the switch is bad.Hope that helps.Post back and tell us what happens
