1998 exterior door handle replacement

Anyone have any good advice as to how you replace the drivers side outside door handle? I have removed as many screws from the inside as possible, i am affraid to break the door panel by prying it off? Is this the only way to gain access to that 2nd screw behind the door panel?
Any advice would be greatly appriciated.
