Code P0440 for 03 Dodge ram

I was looking for some suggestions on what this problem means. While the truck sits there and idles it is sluggish like it wants to die. The code that comes up is p0440 and the engine light flashes 10 times. Any suggestions...this truck only has 47000 miles on it. thanks

This is an error code for Evap Sys Perf. I assume this means something happened to send an error code on the exhaust system, but I'm not positive.

i agree nvld will solve the problem, the switch is in the pump and they get stuck closed. when you run the forced nvld test they will not change state. When you jump the wire the switch state changes. I think this year vehicle if you cycled the key 3 times it will show you the code in the cluster not really sure but it's worth a try good luck
