old heat shield causes fire
I know the topic of removing old/worn hood heatshields has been discussed a few times. I just ran across this thread, and thought it was worth a repost on here for those of you who don't browse 3si. Basically, an old, worn, drooping heat shield caused a fire under the hood.

This is why the positive battery terminal is supposed to be covered by that red rubber boot.........But I removed mine when I had a 3S.

I just removed mine... I had a IC hose blow and destroy one side of the sheild.
