Talking A shiny new present for the Whale!

Look what my Whale’s getting on Saturday. A nice new shiny muffler. Now the poor thing can finally be rid of the Holden one it has at the moment :o (It was on the car when I bought it! :o )

Yes, the muffler...

It can outperform Moss's Jetta even w/o being attached to a vehicle!

We'll go with this, but I meant, once attached, the Whale won't compare.

Oh well...

Please don't take this the wrong way, But does it sound like a Holden at the moment?

The reason I ask is one of the Customers at work fitted a modfied Rehmus Holden V8 Exhasut to his 928 Porsche. And well the damn thing now sounds like a bloody Holden V8.

I definitely think mine sounds more like a V8 than Raf’s one, but he doesn’t seem to think so. I certainly think that the muffler might be part of that. The Holden one is quite flat and oval compared to the Japanese one that I'm getting. I guess we'll see on Saturday what sort of a difference it makes.

You can see better in this pic what the current muffler and tip looks like. I’m betting that the bigger, rounder Japanese one is going to make a fair bit of difference in sound.

Hmmm, I actualy like the look of the flatter ones better, Im from the German school of an Exhasut should be heard but never seen.
The round one will be more visable. Cool if you like that style, and in that case a deffinite improvment on whats in there, but Iv seen to many riced out japas with big round shiny exhauses sticking 6inchs out the back to like it.
(although the large rounded shape of the back of the R33 will suit it better than damn silly little Civic or Trueno.)

Well it will certainly be more noticeable that's for sure. It shouldn't be sticking out very far though, it'll just look big from behind.

I just really like the look of the Japanese style tips and think that being a Japanese car it should have a Japanese muffler rather than a Holden one. But that's just me.
