jdm caliper fit on 240sx

are the 180sx and s13 silvia front calipers the same? if so how do they fit on 240sx w/ stock discs, or do you need to get the jdm discs?

Re: jdm caliper fit on 240sx

If anyone else is wondering, JDM SR S13s have 99 Maxima calipers with 98 Altima disks.

So is the JDM setup better than the z32 setup?

Re: jdm caliper fit on 240sx

well it depends, if you really need the stopping power of the z32 (turbo or nonturbo) setups then they will be better for you, there is really no sense in going for a brake sense that is totall overkill...unless you just really really want to...

Z32 brakes are not one bit overkill... firstly you can never have too much stopping power, especially when the two cost about the same and one is twice as good as the other. secondly, if u drive your car hard or are considering tracking it anywhere from drift to autocross the added power and rotor surface will help a lot with z32s.

and believe me, nothin scares the shit out of a passenger like flying at a red light knowing damn good and well your car is stopping with only half pedal pressure, its so much fun

Re: jdm caliper fit on 240sx

I was rocking stock brakes (w/ exception of generic rear pads and nismo ss lines up front) and they suck esp in the rain i almost ran over someone, with the silvia brakes I feel much better and they were like 60$ so I wont complain =)
