Brake Lights not working on 93 explorer
The brake lights do not light up when the brake pedal is tapped. Also, while the cruise is engaged the brake pedal does not disengage the cruise, and after the brake pedal is released the explorer speeds back up. I'm guessing there is a cable or sensor on the brake pedal that sends a signal when the pedal is touched, is that how it works, what is the fix? thanks guys

Re: Brake Lights not working on 93 explorer
There typically will be either one or two brake pedal switches. From your description, it sounds like your Explorer probably has a single switch to activate both your brake lights and disengage the cruise control. The switch is usually mounted at the brake pedal arm under the dash.
