Brakes and

Hallo,
my name is David im coming from Germany.

Problem 1:
This brakes make klick,klick(1 sec), klick(3 sec)...., ABS? Brake general function is OK.
Brake fluid DOT4 is new (3 months old). or it must be ONLY DOT3?

Problem 2:
Service engine soon:
P0452 Evaporative Emission System Pressure Sensor/Switch Low
if I open the gas cap, I hear rather loud "ssss..." and while driving some noises in the back in the car.

This car is very rarely in Germany

thanks

Re: Brakes and

Welcome to AF. DOT 4 is ok. Noise you hear sounds like the abs actuating, which is normal if one wheel locks, if this is happening every time you slow down you probably have a bad wheel sensor, this can be checked with a scanner that is abs cpable, if not available use an ohmeter ft sensor at the wheel connector is around 1020-1180 ohms, rear is 1030-1135 ohms. P0452 on that car ( I have the same car) is caused by the vent solenoid attached to the vapor cannister inside the rear of the l/r wheel house behind the splash shield. Tank pressure sensor is another possibility.

Question Re: Brakes and

is the ssssss noise coming from gas tank when car is off or when it's running?? because if you hear it when running it's your pump in gas tank witch is normal if it's running...and check engine lite could be several things like cps or ips..good luck.

SCRAPPER....
yes, when car is off. Often with refueling.

I drive to time with half open gas cap, because otherwise read noises in the back "bumm...". I think the tank pull together. too much negative pressure in the tank?

SCRAPPER....
Listen the last thing this person overseas needs is confusing advice the code is p0452 which is an evap system problem, not a cps or ips issue!

As I said ,yes this is pressure problem with the vent solenoid or pressure sensor on top of the tank, all the info you need was in the 1st post.

Re: Brakes and

hello,
because of abs a sensor showed first no worth at the rear left, again there then I moved a cable and was. However with test run is still this noise there. (1630 ohms in front, 1060 ohms in the back) as I must order such a sensor and which may cost?

Re: Brakes and

Because it does not sense this slight out of range especially if it thinks the wheel is locking and prematurely actuates the abs.
