no air and no 4x4

1st.. i whent someplace a few days ago and as i was ready to leave i relized it has snowed since i got there and knowing for somereason my 4x4 doesnt work i know the 40 mile trip was gonna be a nigthmere going up and down hills in short it took me nearly 3 hours to make the trip when it could have been 45 mintuies well the someone tells me they hear my aractater working my ligths go on like 4x4 works but no 4x4 ..... prob 2 is i get air only out of the defroster vent on the dash while the swicth is on any setting even so i have replaced the ball and a few hoses its even hooked to the intake hose so help....

p.s this is a 95 blazer 4x4

If vac lost default on heater is defrost so would say the vac lines under the hood are rotten out. Would also explain no 4wd.

I have a 95 Jimmy , With about the same problems I have head coming out of my defrost vent and floor vent but it doesnt matter what setting i have the switch on I cannot get the air out of the front vents or change to only defrost. My 4x4 also doesnt work. The lights will switch to 4 hi but doesnt actually engage the 4x4. When I put the jimmy in park or nutral and hit the 4 low I hear something but I do not get the 4x4 enganged any help in where to look to fix this problem is there a way to manualy switch into 4 hi?? any help here would be great
