Fuel pump voltage 2001 sonoma

Does anyone know what the voltage should be at the connectors to the fuel pump? I have right at 5 volts on both connectors. ON the old pump it says on one of the modules 5 volts. So has it changed since a long time ago? Or do I need to check it out further??

Re: Fuel pump voltage 2001 sonoma

The fuel pump should operate at full battery voltage. The fuel gauge sending unit may be at a reduced voltage, but the pump power should be at least 12.6V
