Chevy Astro Fuel pump
My sister has a 95 Astro. It wouldn't start this morning. I listened for the fuel pump as she turned the key on and I didn't hear it. Is there a fuse or anything I need to check before we drop the tank. (I assume the pump is in the tank)

Re: Chevy Astro Fuel pump
there is a fuel pressure check port on the back of the engine. Pull the dog house and see if you have notable pressure.
The other easy test is to crawl under the van, and where the fuel filter mounts, right next to it is the return line. Pull the return line and see if there is any fuel flow when you turn the key on. Both of these tests assume that there is power to the pump. GM pumps have a fairly high failure rate, and I would suspect pump failure before power issues....but yes, there is both a fuse and a relay for the pump. You don't have to pull the tank to test for power, there is a connector going to the pump that is accessable without pulling the tank
