Gas Mileage

Im wondering how many miles per tank of gas you all get. im asking because i used to have a stock DX and it would get about 300 miles per tank of premium unleaded (91 octane) and i ran the piss out of it. well, i dropped in a d16z6 with a 90 Civic Si ECU and i still get 300 mpt of 91 octane premium. i refueled yesterday at 298 miles and it was sitting on E. either my DX wasnt performing as it should or these hondas just get awesome gas mileage...

I use 87 octane gas, and I usually refuel after about 250 miles. Thats only takes about 8 gallons though, so I get around 31 mpg. Thats on a stock DX motor.

I usually fill mine up once it hits the red mark, usually get about 350+ miles per tank, I know when I first got it I hit 411 mpt when I completely ran out of gas. Used to just fill it up with Regular, now I fill it up with 93 Octane or 91, which ever one I can find. Its just a 1.5l Dx engine, with APC Intake, and a glasspack on the exhaust(don't ask, I was being a rice boy when I did that). Gotta get the exhaust fixed, pipes are rusting out, gotta a nice hole right by the glasspack.

To figure out your mileage you can divide how many miles you have driven by the amount of gas you put in. I usually get somewhere between 28-32 mpg

98 Octane Shell Optimax. Driven nicely, I get 7.5 liters per 100 kilometers on an interstate trip.

I don't drive nicely so it drops to about 10.5l/100km around town.

My last tank yielded 29 MPG - not bad considering my engine and mods...

I get about 300miles/tank. However after my oil change and using Castrol GTX it seems like it might have increased.

Damn, i wish my car's ran like yours! Damn, on my White DX, i got like 170 miles to the tank, but that was because that eninge was going to blow up soon thats why i sold it, well, that and the huge amount of rust under the car! Well, on the Si, i get like 250 miles or so, and i run the car HARD!, i am always Redlining cause i drive HARD! well, i guess if i drove like a normal person, i could get like 300, but never seen it yet, cause one way or another i always end up driving hard!

Hondas are gas sippers :)

The best I ever got on my sedan was 40 MPG on a trip when the car was pretty new (new to me ) with about 70K miles on it.

Now it has 201K miles and I average between 31-33 MPG. Sometimes 35 on a trip, but that is about the best it can muster now. I use 93 octane fuel to keep the valves from pinging..I have not noticed any difference in mileage based on the fuel I use. Since I drive the piss out of my 1.5L, it is starting to burn oil now too...about 1 quart every 1000 miles or so.

Oh yeah - One weekend I towed a 1000 lbs. worth of boat and camping equipment with my family (3 peeps) in the car and still got 27 MPG :ylsuper

I cannot complain one bit about my car - it rocks!

I just checked over the last two tank loads and averaged them. 37.6 mpg.

I usually can go 350 miles on a fueling but generally don't push it all the way to "way empty".

Yeah and somehow you managed to get 40mpg on the way to oregon while I was only able to muster 34:finger:

Anyhow, 34 is the most I have ever gotten, with my commuting to heald I usually get 31-32 mpg, and back in the day when I used to just shmob around town, I usually got 27-28.
