99 Contour 2.5L Question!!!

I just bought this car from my brother a few days back and it runs perfect but the only problem I notice is that when you put the pedal to the floor at about 6000rpm the battery light comes on and power dims. This is only when u gun it. Any ideas. I was told maybe the belt was slipping at higher rpm maybe needs replacing. Well if you know what this is let me know.

rev limit is at 6750 rpms. This wouldnt cause the battery light to flicker.

You may want to replace the megafuse and go from there. Sometimes it can be partially blown and the battery light can flicker. Its only about a $7 fix.
