99 Blazer Front Half shafts??

Been awhile folks, but I am going to be replacing both front halfshafts on my 99 Blazer 4X4. Both outer CV boots are leaking, and I figure it is easier, and probably cheaper, to replace both half shafts.
Is there any tricks or tips that I can get from some of our fine folks out there? I know I have to pull the front hubs off to remove the outer splines, what is involved in pulling the shafts out of the front diff? I figure on replacing the fluid when I change out the shafts.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Re: 99 Blazer Front Half shafts??

Well I still have yet to get the splines out of my broken front differential when I had to replace my differential.

But in my experience, you may be better off popping the support that holds the hub on away from the ball joints. Otherwise you may not have enough clearance.

If you decide to continue on with this, I would really look hard any parts that may need replaced b/c you will have most of your front end loose at this point.
