Headlights quit at random!!!

I have a 2002 that has a gremlin in the headlights. Driving down the road they just quit. Sometimes I get a flicker from the dash and radio as well. I replaced the switch on the column for the headlights and the 25 amp headlight breaker in the fuse panel as well. Any ideas????? No codes, no blown fuses, nothing to give me a clue. Thanks

An update!!! I narrowed it down to the high beams. It will flicker and then blow the 40 amp square fuse under the hood. If I leave it on low beam though all is well. Since the headlights share a common ground with high and low beams wouldn't it make sense that it's a hot that's touching somewhere when I hit a bump?????
