my 88 topaz wont start when it is cold out unless you prime it checked fuel pump pressure okay change temp sending unit changed injector runs fine once started I was told it has cold enrichment system what makes it work

Check the intake air temp sensor (thats a chevy name, don't remember what ford calls them.) Different from engine coolant temperature sensor(ECT).
