i got a friend intrested in a.....

Lincoln LS.. a 2002..but he is also intrested in a 98 Catera..im trying to steer him towards a LS cause ive been quite fond of them since they cameout. and im not a big fan of GM..im just curious what problems most ppl experience in a 02 LS..and do they offer any blower packages? im not really specific here but i will send the links to the forums i posted for him to get feedback from ppl who own the cars he's intrested in. all input appreciated!!

Yes, there are a few items with the '02 LS to be concerned with, and they've all been covered in this forum in extensive detail. I'd suggest you forward him to the keyword search page of this forum. He may want to search for "common," "gasket," "transmission," "airbag," "SRS," and "ball joint."

Many of these common issues were remedied for the 2002 model year, but the friend should be aware of them none-the-less.

Don't get me wrong, my wife and I both have a Lincoln LS (hers an '02 V6 and mine an '04 V8). Neither of us have experienced any of the common issues, and we both really enjoy the car.
