need HELP! 2000 MITS GALANT RADIO "OFF" & wrong code.

I had to remove the battery in order to replace it; however, the radio code went out of whack! I tried 3 different codes that I have found, but none of them work, now I have a message saying "OFF" on the radio screen, and no code that works with it.

Can someone tell me where else I can find a code? The dealer wants to charge about $85 to give me the code, even though I have already removed the radio and read the SERIAL # off to them. Lack of funds, especially this time a year after Christmas.
