Do I need to Winterize for 35 days of storage ?
Hi Folks !
I need to store my car for 35 days (Jan and Feb). It's 2002 Honda Accord V6 EX with 65K miles on it. Changed Oil about 4K miles ago. I have an indoor garage. Temperature during Jan & Feb in Minnesota is around 25 Degrees Avg. My garage is attached to my home but I feel the Garage is always cold (almost like outdoor). Please let me know if I need to winterize my car (if yes, how do I do that). I'm really hoping I can get a way without winterizing. thanks. - Karun |

I dont think so. After all its still a car. Its designed to withstand that kind of weather. Just make sure that you change your oil again before you start driving it.

I would disconnect the battery and fill up the gas tank.
I am not sure if I am right about the gas tank but I think that less air the gasoline will contact the better it will be. Sam

I've left my car in my driveway for a lot longer than that in the winter (I'm in NY so it's just as cold here), it shouldn't be a problem at all. But you should start it up and let it run until the engine temp gets up; about once or twice a week.
